What we do
Thousands of people are struggling to make ends meet and many people are finding that they are falling behind on their payments. If you are one of the many people in this situation, then don't panic as help is at hand.
Our job is to help those who have got into financial difficulty in a discrete and sympathetic way. As debt councillors, we are fully licensed by the Office of Fair Trading and are accredited debt management advisers through our specialist partners.
Unlike many companies, we don't operate a one-size-fits-all policy and have actually built up a surprising array of options that can be used individually or together to provide tailor made solutions to debt problems. These options include:-
- Debt Management - This short term solution can ease the pressure from creditors by managing your debts on your behalf and lowering the monthly payments to a manageable amount.
- Remortgages - Sometimes a simple remortgage to consolidate more expensive debts can get things back on an even keel.
- Consolidation Loans - Either secured or unsecured, consolidation loans can often get equal lower payments for more expensive debts.
- Full & Final Settlement - It can sometimes be possible to arrange a full and final settlement of debts for a reduced amount. This would usually be combined with a remortgage to raise a lump sum but could write off a significant proportion of the amount you owe.
- Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) - This is a formal, legal agreement which can write off a large proportion of your debts and get the remainder paid over 5 years. This is usually for more difficult situations and is supervised by an insolvency practitioner.
- Sale & Rent Back - Often a last resort to avoid repossession, this would mean selling your home to a specialist investor and renting it back. You then have the option to buy back your home at a later date at a fixed price although there are a number of other factors that need to be considered.
As with any debt management plan, there are advantages and disadvantages to each one and we will discuss these in detail before putting in place any arrangements. You may also need to consider that some of these solutions could seriously affect your credit rating.
To give you the best advice, we use a combination of advanced computer software and our unique expertise that have been acquired from years of experience in the debt management industry. Why not use our online form to get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
